The Dare County Sheriff’s Office felony blotter for February 2023 was released March 1.

Roanoke Island has four listings with Wanchese adding another listing. Buxton has two listings. Manns Harbor has one.

Feb. 7: Burglary. 100 block of Bideford St., Roanoke Island. Subject reported various household items stolen during the night. Upon further investigation the crime was determined to be unfounded.

Feb. 9: Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle. 1000 block of Driftwood Dr., Roanoke Island. Wallet reported stolen from unlocked vehicle. Subject later discovered the wallet was not stolen. No crime occurred.

Breaking and Entering. 100 block of Amelia Dr., Roanoke Island. Residence broken into. Forensic evidence collected. Under investigation.

Feb. 10: Larceny. 47000 block of Delmer Rd., Buxton. Money stolen from residence. Under investigation.

Feb. 13: Larceny. 100 block of Scuppernong Rd., Roanoke Island. Unauthorized transactions from an account. Under investigation.

Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 5000 block of Old Ferry Dock Rd., Manns Harbor. Computer scam. Under investigation.

Feb. 17: Financial Card Fraud. 47000 block of Bernice Lane, Buxton. Unauthorized transactions on subject’s EBT card.

Feb. 24: Larceny of Motor Vehicle. 100 block of Tillett Rd., Wanchese. Subject reported vehicle stolen after it was found wrecked in Tyrrell County.
