First Flight High School wrestlers win regionals, six qualify for states

On Saturday, February 11 the First Flight High School wrestling team won the regional championships.

The Nighthawks are now two time defending champions, beating 24 other Eastern Region high schools, including wrestling powerhouses like Swansboro and Dixon.

Six wrestlers qualified for the state championships, which begin Thursday, February 16 at the Greensboro Coliseum: Jacob Kresicki (113 pounds), Nathan Canning (138), Azrael Simpson (152), Kai Reece (170), Trevor Schweitzer (182) and Everest Ouellette (HWT).
