Capt. Lee N. Baronet, Kill Devil Hills, NC. Capt. Baronet was a career U.S. Marine Corps Mustang Officer now transferred to a Supreme Commander on October 26, 2022 at the full age of 90.
“Always Faithful,” Semper Fidelis is at the heart of this Marine who knows an eternal commitment to the success of battles, the progress of his nation, and steadfast loyalty to fellow Marines. This has long distinguished the bond between Marines, beyond all words, it is a shared call to living warriorhood and it was a wonderful aspect of a life well lived.
He is preceded in death by loving wife, “Becky”. Lee will be interred beside her at Suffolk, VA.
He is the son of Jean F. and Isaure Baronet of Rayne, LA survived by loving daughters Daphne Akers (Ron) of Kitty Hawk, NC and Anna Kennon of West Palm Beach, FL, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, all who know and will remember his loving care.
A faithful Catholic, he traveled the world known to many as “Lucky Lee”. He was lucky indeed to be from a loving family in a small town in Louisiana that set him on a path to success in all his endeavors.
Lee is grateful to a caring staff at Spring Arbor Senior Living, to dear friends he played pinochle with every week for many years, to a kind Priest and fellow parishioners at Holy Redeemer by The Sea and to his many neighbors and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with a visitation starting an hour prior at 10 a.m. After the services there will be a reception on premises to fellowship with the family. Interment will begin at 2 p.m. at AG Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
In lieu of flowers, he would be pleased to learn that in his memory, an act of kindness was done to help someone, especially if it caused great laughter as he often did. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
