The 8^th annual Miss Oregon Inlet Youth Fishing Tournament is set to take place Monday, August 1. Participants ages 6-10 will fish on the first trip from 9:30 a.m. until noon and participants ages 11-16 will fish on the second trip from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

An awards ceremony with a hot dog picnic will be held after each group’s fishing trip and parents are welcome to attend the ceremony. Trophies will be awarded in each age group and awards will be presented for first fish, largest fish and most fish.

The $50 entry fee includes everything needed to fish, snacks on the boat, entry into a raffle, a rod and reel combo and participant medals. Registration is required and can be made by calling 877-359-8447.

The tournament is sponsored by Kitty Hawk Kites and Oregon Inlet Fishing Center.
