The Roanoke Island Garden Club recently approved grants to several businesses as part of the club’s philanthropic and educational function.

A grant was made to The Elizabethan Gardens, presented by Donna Presgrave, chair of the club’s Annual Contributions Committee, to Linda Davenport, president of the Garden’s Board of Governors.

Grants were also made to Island Farm, Community Garden, RI Food Pantry and Food for Thought.
