Area residents can learn more about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other conditions with at an upcoming Life Line Screening event. The Sea Ranch Resort will host this community event on February 16, 2022. The site is located at 1731 N. Virginia Dare Trail in Kill Devil Hills.

According to a Life Line press release, screenings can check for the level of plaque buildup in arteries, related to risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke and overall vascular health; HDL and LDL cholesterol levels; diabetes risk; bone density as a risk for possible osteoporosis; kidney and thyroid function and more.
