Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Our lovely daughter, sister, wife, and mother, Leslie Jane Geiberger went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 29, 2021 in her home in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina surrounded by family.

Leslie was born on August 23, 1955 to Marva Jane Andrews and Charles Ralph Geiberger in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Since she lived so near the White Sands Missile Range, Leslie joked that she glowed in the dark. As a young girl, the family moved to Solana Beach, California and enjoyed vacations to many National Parks throughout her childhood.

In the early 70s, Leslie moved to Fairfax, Virginia with her parents.  Following her graduation from Robinson High School in 1973, she pursued a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in painting and print making from Virginia Commonwealth University which she acquired in 1977. However, because “art doesn’t pay until after you die,” she followed her first degree with a certificate in information technology.  Leslie would often mention that she held a degree in thinking outside the box.

Art was always Leslie’s passion and she excelled at many different mediums including painting, etching, drawing, and various textile applications. In 2019, Leslie self-published her book of poems and illustrations, called The Good Cat and the Bad Cat inspired by real life events. Her family and friends look forward to posthumously publishing Leslie’s animal alphabet illustrations and facts sometime in the future. Leslie’s phenomenal sense of humor is forever imprinted on the artwork cherished by her friends and family. Furthermore, Leslie was skilled at playing the piano, pipe organ, and harpsichord.

Like the woman mentioned in Proverbs 31,

Leslie was clothed with strength and dignity;

She could laugh at the days to come.

She spoke with wisdom,

And faithful instruction was on her tongue.

Leslie was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, Peter.

In addition to her mother, Leslie is survived by her adoring husband of 24 years, Brian Morgan; two beloved daughters, Sarah Boyle (Steve Petrucelli) and Rachel Boyle (Josh Ford); two dear step-daughters, Emily Melton (Philippe) and Sarah Morgan (Dimitris Killinger); two grandchildren, Andrew Seale and Thalia Gouramani; a brother Carl Geiberger (Vanessa); cherished nephews, Ian and Matias; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and, of course, the very BAD cat, KC, who has used up 11 of his nine lives.

Her family honors her for all that her hands have done, and lets her works bring her praise. Proverbs 31:31
