Members of the Clarks-Bethel United Methodist Church in Salvo are preparing Thanksgiving boxes again this year.
The church is preparing about 15 boxes to be distributed to the elderly, those known to be in need and others.
Church members are collecting shelf-stable items such as dressing/stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, yams, canned vegetables (corn, green beans, etc.), boxed mashed potatoes, cake mix, icing, pudding, Jell-O, flour, oil and sugar. The church provides dinner rolls and a $25 gift card from Food Lion for meat.
Those wishing to contribute should call Polly Moffatt at 304-543-3620. Distribution is set for Friday, Nov. 19.
