Manteo’s Downtown Associate Community Vision (DAC) Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 at 4 p.m. at Manteo High School in the cafeteria.
“The Town of Manteo made a commitment to the DAC program, which is our pathway to the Main Street designation,” stated a meeting announcement from the Town of Manteo. “Access to resources to help the Town with economic development such as grants and more open up as a full member of the Main Street program. This will not only benefit the downtown but the entire Town – all of greater Manteo.”
State staff members have provided presentations at previous meetings, which can be found on the Town of Manteo’s website at www.manteonc.gov/DAC.
“We need your feedback on a variety of things that make up the Town’s character and will help guide it’s future, including, but not limited to, amenities, accessibility, historical preservation, vitality, economic drivers, strengths, opportunities, challenges, and more,” stated the meeting announcement.
The community’s input is needed to determine “a shared vision for the future of Manteo. Community-wide ownership of the program is critical to its success! Share with all our friends, family, and neighbors in the greater Manteo area,” the announcement continued.
