Southern Bank presented a check earlier this month to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Northeast NC as the title sponsor for this year’s FCA Golf Classic, scheduled for Thursday, August 26 at Duck Woods Country Club in Southern Shores.
Check-in begins at noon with a shotgun start to follow at 1 p.m.
This annual event supports the coaches, athletes and overall FCA program serving Northeast North Carolina, which includes Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties. “As a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, funding for FCA comes solely through the gifts and investment of individuals, businesses, organizations, and churches around Northeast North Carolina,” stated a FCA press release. “Support will stay right here in Northeast NC to serve our schools and communities.”
For more information on becoming involved, visit http://www.nencfca.org/golf-classic or contact FCA’s director of operations Lori Williams at 252-564-2186 or loriwilliams@fca.org.
“FCA is one of the largest sports ministries in America and focuses on serving local communities by engaging, equipping, and empowering people to make a difference for Christ,” stated the release. “For over 65 years, FCA has sought to impact the world through the influence of athletes and coaches.”
