American mink are on Pea Island, but are seldom seen. Typically, they are most active around dawn and dusk.

They are carnivores, states USFWS. Some of their diet includes fish, muskrats, frogs, snakes, waterfowl and rabbits.

An American mink in Utah was the first U.S. animal in the wild to test positive for the coronavirus.
