Southern Bank is providing a $1000 sponsorship of the 2021 Manteo Rotary Inshore Slam Tournament in support of the Sonny Albarty Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Outer Banks Community Foundation.

Albarty, the Outer Banks fishing legend, is fondly remembered by his many friends in the community.

Skip Morgan and Hugh McCullen are co-chairs of this year’s tournament, which will be held at the OBX Marina in Wanchese on Saturday, October 2.

Online registration will be available before the tournament and in person registration will be held on Friday, October 1.
