Dare County Sheriff’s Office releases May blotter for felony crimes

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has posted its blotter of felony crimes committed during May 2021.

The crimes were spread among unincorporated areas: Hatteras Island had three; Roanoke Island four; and Colington four.

May 4: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 2000 block of Colington Rd., Colington. Puppy scam.

May 7: Financial card fraud. 1000 block of Driftwood Dr., Roanoke Island. Unauthorized financial card transactions.

May 11: Breaking and entering and larceny. 100 block of Driftwood Court, Roanoke Island. Money stolen.

May 13: Breaking and entering and larceny. 57000 block of C Deering Ridge Rd., Hatteras. Household items stolen.

May 15: Breaking and entering and larceny. 900 block of Harriot St., Roanoke Island. Household items stolen.

May 18: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 41000 block of NC 12 Hwy., Avon. Shipping scam.

May 19: Breaking and entering and larceny. 300 block of Sandpiper Dr., Colington. Tools stolen.

May 20: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 300 block of Soundview Dr., Colington. Unauthorized withdrawals from bank account.

May 24: Identity theft. 48000 block of Quidley Lane, Buxton. Unauthorized financial card transactions.

May 27: Larceny from motor vehicle. 500 block of NC 345 Hwy., Roanoke Island. Auto parts removed from vehicle.

May 30: Breaking and entering and larceny. 300 block of Sandpiper Drive, Colington. Household items stolen.
