David F. Evans III, 78, of Colington Harbour, died April 5, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Dr. David Evans was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1942, and was the son of the late David F Evans II and Janet Hutchison Evans.

Surviving are wife Dorlene Custer Evans, daughter Lydia V. Evans and husband Brian Walnicki, son Jeremy Nye Evans and grandchildren Zachary Walnicki and Piper Walnicki. He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Mary Evans Stratton.

A private scattering of ashes with be held at the family’s convenience. As most family and friends are distant and travel is difficult at this time in lieu of a memorial service, the family is requesting any donations be given to either your local S.P.C.A or to the David Evans Voice Performance Scholarship managed by the Fredonia College Foundation.
