Bethany United Methodist Church holding chicken dinner fundraiser for preschool

The Bethany United Methodist Church in Wanchese is offering a drive-through chicken dinner fundraiser to raise money for its preschool.

The dinner is set for Friday, February 26 starting at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the church, located at 101 Wharf Road. The meal will include fried chicken, potato salad and green beans, and is by donation. The fundraiser also includes a drive-through bake sale; items will be priced as marked.

The preschool runs Tuesday through Thursday for children ages three and four. Enrollment is down this year, from twenty-five children to about ten. The fundraiser will go to pay teachers and purchase supplies.
