New committee on marine resources and aquaculture chaired by Hanig

A new standing committee in the North Carolina House will deal with legislation about marine resources and aquaculture.
Steve House, Dare County commissioner, commented on the new committee at the Dare Board of Commissioners meeting on Feb. 1, 2021.
Rep. Bobby Hanig, from Powells Point, was appointed to serve as chairman by House Speaker Tim Moore, who authorized the new committee. George G. Cleveland, from Jacksonville, is the vice chairman.
Other representatives appointed to the committee are:

Edward Goodwin, Edenton
Wesley Harris, Charlotte
Pricey Harrison, Greensboro
Zack Hawkins, Durham
Frank Iler, Shallotte
Keith Kidwell, Chocowinity
David Rogers, Rutherford
Carson Smith, Hampstead
Brian Turner, Asheville
Larry Yarborough, Roxboro
The committee is slated to meet weekly on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. To sign up for meeting notices by email, go to ncleg.gov, click Committees, select House Standing Committees and then go to Marine Resources and Aquaculture.
