Dare County Sheriff Doug Doughtie has released the January 2021 felony police blotter for unincorporated Dare County. Three of the six felonies listed occurred in Colington.

Jan. 1: Larceny. Mosely Lane, Wanchese. Jewelry reported stolen.

Jan. 8: Larceny by employee. 41000 block of NC 12 Hwy., Avon. Drink stolen.

Assault inflicting serious injury. 200 block of Sunset Dr., Colington. Subject stabbed with a knife.

Jan. 10: Robbery with a dangerous weapon. 100 block of Seagull Ct., Colington. Narcotic stolen.

Jan. 16: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 56000 block of Shoal Dr., Hatteras. Financial card compromised.

Jan. 23: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 200 block of Sir Richard East, Colington. Fraudulent charges on bank account.
