The organizers of Old Christmas in Rodanthe have canceled the 2021 event. Families and friends of those who live in Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo gather each year on the Saturday closest to Epiphany (January 6), a long-ago traditional date for celebrating Christmas in the villages.

Typically, the day’s events include an oyster shoot, a chicken and pastry dinner, an oyster roast, a dance and, in recent years, a program by children.
