October criminal and traffic report for Manteo released

In October, the Manteo Police Department made the following arrests: one DUI, two disorderly conduct, one interrupt emergency communications, one possession of schedule III, one possession of drug paraphernalia, one resist, delay and obstruct and one shoplifting.

MPD reported conducted the following investigations: one DUI (closed by arrest), one death by distribution of certain controlled substance [cause of death determined by the medical examiner](inactive), one death investigation [pending medical examiner determination of cause of death](active), two disorderly conduct (closed by arrest), one hit and run [property damage] (closed by other means), one injury to personal property (closed by other means), one interrupt emergency communications (closed by arrest), one possession of schedule III (closed by arrest), one possession of drug paraphernalia (closed by arrest), one resist, delay and obstruct (closed by arrest), one shoplifting (closed by arrest).

The department issued the following citations: one disorderly conduct, one expired registration, six speeding, one improper equipment (speedometer), responded to five accidents and issued five ordinance violations and five warning tickets.

In addition, Investigator Doug Moore and K9 Boscoe had four K9 deployments for the Dare County Sheriff’s Office to search for drugs on traffic stops.
