To the Editor:
My handsome, happy, talented, and loving son died on November 13, 2020, from COVID 19 – 36 hours after going to the emergency room to get checked for a fever and chest congestion. He was 48.
The outpouring of love from our community and beyond has been unbelievable. I am thankful and blessed to know he was loved by so many people and that so many are lifting us in prayer. God’s promises remind me daily that Les is well and suffering no more – he has been made whole – he has been reunited with family and friends.
To those left to mourn, to those who never knew him – please do not be careless, do not try to beat the odds, do not let your guard down. Remember, you are not only protecting yourself but also others with whom you are associating when you:
WEAR A MASK
WASH YOUR HANDS
PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING
Your being safe will not bring my son back, but it may save someone you love.
