Kill Devil Hills crime blotter for October released

The Kill Devil Hills Police Department blotter for October includes arrests in three separate incidents.

On October 11, KDHPD officers were dispatched to investigate the reports of a suspicious condition at Walgreens for a woman passed out behind the wheel in the parking lot. According to KDHPD, upon arrival, officers witnessed a female in a vehicle with her 15 week old son. The female consented to a search of her vehicle and meth was found. EMS arrived on scene and she was transported to The Outer Banks Hospital. An officer obtained warrants on the female for possession of schedule I, possession drug paraphilia and misdemeanor child abuse. DSS was notified and took temporary custody of the child.

Police were dispatched on October 15 to a drunk disturbance call in the area of the 1600 block of South Croatan Hwy. Upon investigation, a male was arrested for being intoxicated and disruptive.

KDHPD responded to the Days Inn Mariner for a disturbance on October 23. The female on scene was taken into custody for warrants out of Catawba and Gaston counties. She was also charged with numerous narcotics violations. Dare County Department of Social Services arrived on scene and took the minor into custody until additional family could arrive, according to KDHPD.
