Two COVID-19 cases reported at Manteo Middle, 51 quarantined

Superintendent John Farrelly sent out an email notification Saturday afternoon to Dare County Schools families reporting that the school system had been informed of two lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases at Manteo Middle School.
“Upon initiation of contact tracing, the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services identified fifty-one (51) stakeholders who have been identified as direct contacts,” stated Farrelly. “These stakeholders will begin quarantining immediately following NC Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.”
Farrelly also stated the building would be deep cleaned and sanitized and the school will reopen on Monday, November 9.
