Kill Devil Hills crime blotter includes assault with a deadly weapon, stolen handgun

The Kill Devil Police Department released the crime blotter for September.

September 26 – Assault with a deadly weapon: Kill Devil Hills Police were dispatched to a domestic call in the area of Skip Jack Lane. Officers responded to the scene and found a man suffering from a stabbing wound. Based on information gathered on scene, the suspect was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, according to KDHPD.

September 27 – Stolen/recovered handgun: Kill Devil Hills police investigated the report of a stolen Taurus .38 revolver from an unlocked vehicle at the Quality Inn. The weapon belonged to a guest. The gun was recovered in the possession of a felon on September 28 in Scotland County, according to KDHPD.
