Arrest made in Saturday shooting on Knotts Island

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office has reported that just before 1 a.m. on September 19, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of West Blackfoot Rd., Knotts Island in reference to a shooting.
Deputies found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. According to CCSO, the victim was hospitalized and in stable condition as of Saturday evening.
CCSO reported that deputies later arrested Kyle Keement at his Knotts Island residence. Keement was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharge of a firearm prohibited. He is being held at the Currituck Detention Center on a $300,000 bond, according to CCSO.
