State transportation officials are inviting people to a virtual information meeting Sept. 3 on the ongoing Rodanthe bridge project.
The bridge, which is currently under construction on Hatteras Island, is a long-term transportation solution for NC 12. The N.C. Department of Transportation is raising the highway onto a 2.4-mile bridge that extends over Pamlico Sound between the southern end of the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and Rodanthe.
The bridge is due for completion in the fall of 2021.
The virtual meeting will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Sept. 3. During the meeting, NCDOT officials and project engineers will provide an update on the project’s progress and answer questions.
People may participate by phone or online.
