A beautiful view of the sunrise at the Lake Phelps shoreline is quite a sight.

The Final Pocosin Lakes NWR Water Resource and Inventory and Assessment (WRIA) is now available. This report complements the recently released Draft Water Management Plan / Environmental Assessment and helps document monitoring and infrastructure locations on the refuge, provides an in-depth literature review of the hydrology and natural setting of the region and identifies water resource threats and needs that the Refuge faces.

The WRIA report includes valuable information about the water resources and infrastructure on the refuge, including sites like this Clayton Blocks restoration area.
