ROCKY MOUNT – Jeff Jackson, age 51, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at home with his family by his side, after a brief, brave struggle with cancer.  He was born in Forsyth County, NC on January 17, 1969.

Jeff graduated from Northern Nash High School in 1987, then attended NC State University and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill before graduating from North Carolina Wesleyan College.  He then attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte before beginning his 28 year career as an Intensive Adult Probation and Parole Officer for the State of North Carolina.

Jeff leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 25 years, Julie Jackson; daughter, Jennifer Jackson; and step-son, Jerry “Tee” Teel.  He is also survived by his father, Mark Jackson; mother, Rita Shearin and step-father, Tim Shearin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service until 3:30 p.m. in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
