Danny Blankenship, “Pop Pop,” 44, of Powell’s Point, died May 22, 2020 unexpectedly due to natural causes. Danny was born in Florida on July 28,1975 to Jerry and Patricia Blankenship. He married Jill Blankenship in 1996.

Danny is survived by parents Jerry and Patricia; wife Jill; children Dakotah, Kyle (Morgan) and Danielle (Andrew); sisters Sarah (Adam Mitchell) and Nikki (Mike Martin); grandsons Grayson, Korbin and Benjamin; his mother-in-law and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Danny worked for Cardinal Logistics and loved football.

Friends and family may attend a visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., May 27 at the Gallop Funeral Chapel in Nags Head. The family will hold a private memorial service in Ohio in the future.
