David Warner Bollinger, 74, of Elizabeth City, died May 8, 2020, at the Brian Center in Hertford.

Born in Boston, Mass. on April 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Frances Findlow Procter Bollinger and Alfred Warner Bollinger. He was preceded in death by brothers William Bollinger and Ronald Bollinger.

Having served his country honorably, David was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a mechanic for many years and after retiring, decided to get his CDL and began driving trucks. He was a long-time resident of Elizabeth City at the Pelican Marina.

David is survived by sister Tarn Bollinger; brother Christopher Bollinger (Sara); sister-in-law Caroline Eastment; son David Lee Bollinger; daughter Deana Bollinger Ingram (Drew); daughter Windi Bollinger; daughter Rachel Nguyen (Sean); son Jacob Mason; grandchildren  Nick Bollinger, Haley and Madison Ingram; a nephew, nieces and many friends.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service at this time.
