The Outer Banks Family YMCA has been named as the Dare County Friends of Youth mentoring program’s Sponsor of the Month for January.
The YMCA recently sponsored a winter pool party activity for mentors and youths involved in the FOY program in honor of National Mentoring Month. At the event, FOY program coordinator Shannon Glaser, left, presented a certificate of appreciation to YMCA Youth & Family Coordinator Jenn Noell.
Throughout 2020, the Friends of Youth program will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. For more information about how you can make a difference in the life of a child by becoming a Friends of Youth mentor or business/civic sponsor, call 252-475-5753.
