The N.C. Cooperative Extension is offering a class ideal for children that show an interest in cooking or teens getting ready for college and need to learn cooking.
On March 13, from 4-6:30 p.m., youth ages 10 to 18 are invited to join the first class in the Currituck Extension Office Extension gardening and cooking series. Participants will plant their herb garden and will create dishes using the herbs they planted.
Family dinner, container garden, recipes and educational materials are included in the $20 class fee. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required.
Reserve seats at youthcontainerherbs.eventbrite.com. or call 252-232-2261, for help with the registration process.
