Seawell now associated with Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers

Effective January 1, 2020, Chris Seawell has become associated with Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers, P.C. as he winds down his law practice with plans to retire in the next few months.

Seawell’s longtime real estate paralegal Sandy Atkinson will also join the firm after 32 years with Seawell.

“We look forward to assisting Chris and his clients in this transition over the next several months. We applaud Chris for his 48 years of service to his clients and his many community nonprofit clients throughout the Outer Banks and northeastern North Carolina,” stated a news release from Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers. “As our fellow colleagues already know, Chris has been a worthy adversary, mentor and friend to most every lawyer in Dare County and the First District Bar.”

Seawell noted, “The lawyers at Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers practice law in many of the same areas in which I practiced. I have known them for years and believe they are well-suited to help my clients and me through this process.”

As of January 2, 2020, Seawell’s phone calls and emails are being forwarded to Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers for mutual review and action. Atkinson, a North Carolina State Bar certified paralegal was slated to begin working with Rose Harrison Gilreath & Powers January 6, pending the arrival of her first grandchild.
