The Ocracoke Civic & Business Association is hosting a Fall Ocracoke Island-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rain date is Sept. 22.

Ocracoke Island residents and businesses will haul down the treasures from their attics and closets. Items to be sold include crafts, antiques, home goods, tools, furniture, artwork, clothing, decoys, jewelry, accessories and more.

The goal of the event is to attract as many shoppers and encourage as many yard sales as possible throughout the island on that day. It serves as an opportunity for non-profits, church and school groups to set up shop and make some money as well as for businesses to highlight fall sales. Last spring over 30 residents and businesses participated.

Detailed maps highlighting each participating yard sale location will be available at the Ocracoke Variety Store and Ocracoke Visitor Center in Community Square.

The event is free to participate and attend. Yard sale participants can sign up at business.visitocracokenc.com/form/view/17394.
