Linda Gayle Pegram Sadler, 66, of Engelhard, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Washington.
Gayle was born in Beaufort County, August 6, 1952 to the late Edward and Mattie Taylor Pegram. She was married to Sam S. Sadler who survives. Her professional career was spent with the former East Carolina Bank in the data entry department for over 25 years.
Prior to her involvement with the banking industry she worked for the Engelhard Red and White and C and C Groceries in Fairfield. She enjoyed singing, dancing, was a former past president of the Parent Teacher Association and former softball coach with the local recreational league. She also loved garden tractor pulling.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the family plot in Soule Cemetery. Bryan Copeland and Jerald Craddock will officiate.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Samantha S. Monroe and husband, Kevin of Winterville; two grandchildren, Emma Rayne Monroe and Rowan Gale Monroe; three brothers, David Pegram of Roanoke, VA, Frankie Pegram of Engelhard and Bryan Copeland of Pantego, and two sisters, Ginny McGowan of Bath and Barbara Deese of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Pegram, Dale Pegram, and one sister, Betty Sadler.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
