On Monday, March 25, Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative will require two planned outages while crews work to disconnect the cooperative’s transmission cables on the old Bonner Bridge so demolition can begin.

For Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon, outages will occur

• at 8 a.m. for 30 minutes
• at 2 p.m. for 5 minutes

During this time, Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands will be served by limited diesel generators. The cooperative requests that members make reasonable efforts to conserve electric use.
