Notice is hereby given that Hatteras Village Fisheries, LLC, George C. Powell (Agent), has filed an application for a shellfish bottom and water column lease, located near Oliver Reef, Hatteras in Dare County. The file numbers are 1948058/1948066. The proposed lease totals 4.33 acres.

The director of the Division of Marine Fisheries for the state has notified the applicant that he will consider the proposed shellfish leases at a public hearing to be held on Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Hatteras Community Building, 57689 NC Hwy. 12, Hatteras village.

The area will be marked at each corner as Proposed Shellfish Lease with the above numbers.

Any member of the public will be given an opportunity to comment on the proposed shellfish lease and water column applications. Comments may be made orally at the meeting or sworn written comments may be submitted to the Division of Marine Fisheries, P.O. Box 769, Morehead City, NC 28557 until March 3 at 5 p.m.

The Division of Marine Fisheries has determined that these applications are substantially consistent with the requirements of G.S. 113-202 and applicable Marine Fisheries Rules. The application file and biologist report for these proposed leases are available for inspection at the DMF office in Morehead City.
