Currituck residents with floodwater encroaching living spaces and inside homes are asked to report the problem to county officials.
The information will be used to help determine if Currituck County is eligible for federal disaster assistance.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, elevated water levels in the Currituck Sound caused flooding in
Walnut Island, Tulls Creek, Knotts Island, Bells Island, Beechwood Shores, East Ridge and other areas of the county.
Citizens may enter reports of flooding online at https://report-nc-currituck.orioncentral.com/ or they may call Currituck Emergency Management at 252-232-2115 to provide the information.
