No one was injured when a home went up in flames in Duck on Wednesday morning.

The Duck Fire Department was called to 132 Dune Road at approximately 6:40 a.m. and arrived to find flames, smoke and heavy fire. Three occupants in the house escaped uninjured, the town said in a news release.

The fire was contained to the home and no other structures were involved. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

The town thanked the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department, Kitty Hawk Fire Department, Corolla Fire and Rescue and Dare County EMS for assistance with the scene.
