Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative has announced planned power outages for May 15 and May 18.

Maintenance to the transmission system requires the brief outages in the early morning hours for Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon only.

A 15-minute outage will occur at 1 a.m. and a five-minute outage will occur a 6 a.m.
